Three scams that exploit good hearts
1. Miracle cures: "Guaranteed sugar/BP cure in 21 days — order now, cash on delivery." These products are unregistered, sometimes dangerous. Medicines ONLY from licensed pharmacies with your doctor's prescription. Viral WhatsApp "hakim" remedies with payment numbers are businesses exploiting hope.
2. Zakat & donation collectors: After every disaster, donation forwards multiply. Give only to registered, audited organizations you can verify (registration number, official website, org-name bank account). A personal JazzCash number + "share for sadqa-e-jaria" = professional fraud.
3. 'Your refund is ready': Calls/SMS about tax refunds, insurance maturity, prize bonds, utility overpayment refunds. The pattern: they know some of your details (bought from data leaks), then need "processing fee" or your OTP to "release" money. Refunds NEVER require you to pay first or share codes. Hang up; verify through the institution's official number from your own records.
