Future-you is watching what you post today
Universities, employers, and even future in-laws Google people. Screenshots outlive deleted posts forever.
The grandmother test: Would you show this post to your grandmother, your principal, and your future boss? If no to any — don't post it.
Protect your footprint:
- Never post CNIC, boarding passes, house keys, school uniform badges with location, "home alone" stories
- Location off for social posts (or post AFTER leaving)
- Think before rage-posting — anger posts are the most screenshotted
- Old accounts you forgot? Find and delete them
But also — the positive footprint: Certificates (like this one!), helpful comments, project posts, volunteer work. Future-you will thank present-you for building a reputation of competence.
Rule: Post like everything is permanent and public — because it is.
