You have powerful legal tools — use them
Cyberstalking and harassment are offences under PECA (Sections 20, 21, 24). NCCIA handles these complaints confidentially, with women officers available, and has arrested blackmailers within weeks of reports.
The 3-step protocol:
BLOCK — on every platform. Don't warn them, don't announce it. Also: tighten privacy (who can add you to groups, see your photos, find you by number).
PRESERVE — before blocking, screenshot everything: messages, profile URLs, phone numbers, dates. Export WhatsApp chats (Chat → Export). Harassers delete their side; your screenshots are the record. Consider a dedicated evidence email: forward everything to a private email folder as timestamped backup.
REPORT —
- NCCIA helpline 1799 (24/7) or complaint.nccia.gov.pk
- Platform reports (Instagram/WhatsApp/Facebook) — gets content removed
- Women's helpline 1099 — counseling and guidance
- For immediate physical danger: 15
Stalkerware check: If an ex/partner "set up" your phone, or battery/data drain spiked: Settings → Apps → look for unknown apps with admin rights (Device admin apps). If you suspect monitoring and fear escalation, call 1099 for a safety plan BEFORE confronting or removing anything.
